Shanghai, Day III

We started day III by taking a ferry to the other side of the river, where we could take a closer look at the skyscrapers:



We then visited one of the Shanghai's biggest shopping malls just to get some air-condition.


Inside the mall Maayan found a cardboard model of a neighborhood that is being built. She took several pictures for Yael so she could see how it is done:

And yes. Here is another big screen showing live Olympic events at the shopping mall:



Escaping from all those expensive shops from the mall, we went to the river-side promenade:






Then, took a subway to an area called "The French Consession", where we found yet another huge TV screen to watch some olympic games... (everybody was gathering to watch from the air-conditioned entrance to the nearby mall, but the squere remained empty for the heat)



And see how dumplings are being prepared (yummi!)


Long days must come to an end, and here we are, back on another sleepers bus on our way to Xiamen, where we will update you guys again next time...
